Brief description:

Atkinson Road offers accommodation to people requiring a short break from 1 night up to 2 or 3 weeks. We provide 24 hour support with either sleepover or waking night staff dependent upon individual's needs

The accommodation consists of 3 single rooms, all with en suite facilities. There is an emergency on call button in each room. There are hoists, ramps and walk in showers within the Respite Unit.

Full service description:

We hold craft and social events within the unit, and you can also take part in social activities within the local community and with other agencies. We have access to transport.

What is included/not included in the price of the break:

We include personal care, laundry, meal preparation, and support for activities that service users wish to attend. Any social activities outwith the Respite Unit will need to be paid for separately.

Respite breaks can be booked in advance or at short notice (availability permitting). All staff are highly trained to the required standards complying to Care Inspectorate and SSSC requirements.
