Full service description:

The aim of the scheme is to provide a break for children and families living within the Greater Glasgow area who are disadvantaged or socially excluded.  This can be for various reasons.  In so doing, there can be the opportunity to help address the imbalance of support, motivating and equipping the child to break out of what might be a longstanding family cycle of poverty and just as importantly, experience fun and enjoyment in a safe and constructive way. In any given year, we enable over 200 families and over 500 children and young people to get a break; of those around 100 children have a disability and many are young carers. Around 300 adult family members and carers also benefit.

Price information:

The only charge we make is either £20, £30 or £40 depending on the length of break, ranging from a weekend break, weekday break and full week break. We will waive this fee if required.

What is included/not included in the price of the break:

Use of caravan for up to one full week with entertainment passes included for each person going on holiday. All caravan costs - cleaning, energy, etc - are met by the Holiday Scheme.
