Shared Care Scotland facilitates a network of local authority and health board officers who have a strategic responsibility for the planning, commissioning and coordination of short break and respite services. Anyone interested in joining this network should contact Don Williamson at the Shared Care Scotland office or by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The purpose of this workshop was to review the purpose and aims of the network and to identify potential topics for future events. The network is aimed at practitioners within local authorities or health partnerships with a leadership role in developing short breaks (respite care) and aims to provide a forum for exchanging information, sharing practice and keeping updated on national developments.
Moira Oliphant, Team Leader with Carers Policy at the Scottish Government, gave an update on the Carers (Scotland) Bill. You can view her presentation by following this link: Carers Bill — Shared Care Leads — 05 June 2015 — Presentation.
