Opportunity Wall
Big Society in action! An opportunity for smaller services providing short breaks and respite care support to advertise for non-financial help they need, or for services to promote special offers of free or discounted places.
Social Networking
Social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter help to connect people together to share information and advice from the perspective of real experiences. Here we have listed some of the main sites we're aware of where you will be able to tap into this vast array of experience.
Action Learning Sets
To support the development of new models of short break provision, Shared Care Scotland will be establishing task-orientated learning sets to help practitioners explore new ideas and put in place plans that will help translate these ideas into action. The first ALS has been formed around the development of Short Break Bureaux. This group is also developing a Common Evaluation Framework to help local authorities and providers to measure the benefits and outcomes of the short break services they provide.
