Time to Live Funded Projects
About the Short Breaks Fund
The Scottish Government has made the Short Breaks Fund* available to help support and sustain Scottish carers, including young carers and kinship carers, through enabling better access to short breaks or respite care.
Part of this fund is going directly to carers, so that they can purchase their own short breaks. We call this part of the fund ‘Time to Live’. We are piloting this funding in 12 local authorities, and the organisations who are allocating this funding are listed below. Carers interested in accessing these funds should contact the relevant organisation directly.
For more information about the Short Breaks Fund, click here or contact the Short Breaks Fund Manager on 01383 622 462.
* The Short Breaks Fund is managed by the National Carers Organisations on behalf of the Scottish Government with secretariat through Shared Care Scotland.
