How do people access your service:

You can access the service by referral from Social Work or you can self refer.

Type of accommodation:

We are a 14 bedded unit, divided into two sub units of six bedrooms and 8 bedrooms. Each unit can support 2 guests who have learning and physical disabilities. All the rooms are single bedrooms and most have ensuite facilities. The rooms catering for people with a physical disability share a bathroom with one other person.

We are able to provide food to accommodate cultural needs.

Full service description:

Breaks can be either on a rolling programme or for longer periods of respite to allow carers to go on holiday. We have a highly trained staff group who offer support and are attentive and sensitive to guests needs. We have many in house attractions including a sensory room and a hydrotherapy pool and we offer opportunities to experience a variety of activities both within PHEW and the wider community and encourage guests to try new experiences. Guests will have an individual support plan tailored to their needs and we encourage guests to be as independent as they are able and ensure that they are treated with dignity and respect.

We are situated near the town centre and are in easy reach of public transport both buses and trains. We have two mini buses which allows us to travel further afield and increase the opportunities for social inclusion.
