Our respite bedrooms have been designed with flexibility in mind to meet the varied needs of our guests. Moveable furniture, extra wide doors, en-suite facilities and a variety of grab rails aid independent movement. Single, double or twin rooms are available. For added peace of mind we are registered with The Care Quality Commission.

Calvert Kielder has over 25 years experience supporting people with our 'can do' approach to life. We provide our respite holidays for disabled adults in a fun holiday environment with a range of activities and packages to suit everyone. Your break can be tailored to meet your needs as an individual visiting on your own, as a couple, or as a family. Personalised care plans are the centre of our provision, enabling you to be involved in how you wish to experience your care and holiday. Take a break from everyday life in a supported environment where you can try new challenges and experiences, meet new people and make new friends. Other packages that we offer at the centre include outdoor multi-activity days/ residential breaks, and 4-star and luxury self-catering Scandinavian style lodge holidays.

What is included/not included in the price of the break:

Respite care packages include 24 hour support from our care team, meals, accommodation and activities. We do not provide waking nights and guests must be able to use a nurse-call system.
