Full service description:

Caring in Craigmillar provides a registered day service that prevents isolation and improves the quality of life for vulnerable older people with complex care needs and those with a diagnosis of Dementia in the local community. We offer a comfortable, non-stigmatised centre for older people to enjoy stimulating activities and the company of others in order to meet their needs, enabling them to maintain skills and encouraging community integration. A typical day involves members being picked up on the minibus and welcomed into the centre with tea and toast, and a nutritious two course meal at lunchtime. Refreshments are offered throughout the day. We provide a structured programme of activities including memory games, music, storytelling, walking and gardening groups and day trips out the centre.
