Full service description:
Befriend Motherwell offers one to one befriending. A volunteer is matched with an elderly person in the community. The volunteer (befriender) and the elderly person (befriendee) meet once per week at an agreeable time for both individuals for one to two hours in the befriendee's own home. Befriending visits can also include going out together in the community such as engaging with local events, a trip to a local coffee shop or to the local park to name a few.
