Brief description:
Inverurie Respite Care Service provides short term care respite breaks for teenagers and adults with a learning disability. The service is run by Inspire in conjunction with Aberdeenshire Council Social Work. Inspire offers respite care from our two services in Inverurie and Ellon. Inspire staff support people who use our respite services to live their lives to the fullest during the time they are with us.

Full service description:
The health of carers is equally important as the person supported. That's why we provide respite care that allows carers of people with learning disabilities to have some time off to refresh and recharge. The service offers flexible support tailored to individual needs, overnight 24 hour care support for 32 individuals offering a homely environment. A range of activities are available to promote and expand development, household and leisure pursuits and the opportunity to meet new people. We offer a range of activities such as: <ul> <li>Independent Skills Training</li> <li>Baking</li> <li>Swimming</li> <li>Walking</li> <li>Music</li> <li>Cinema</li> <li>Gardening</li> <li>Arts and crafts</li> </ul> Each respite user's experience is based on an agreed plan with them, their family and the commissioner.
