The Beamsley Project is a registered charity that provides accessible self-catering accommodation, in the Yorkshire Dales, for people with disabilities and their carers. The Centre is in the former Methodist Chapel which has been superbly converted to receive visitors with disabilities. It is run by the Beamsley Project Charitable Trust.

In the centre there are six ground floor bedrooms with toilets, bathroom and shower rooms with wheel in showers close by. The bathroom has a ceiling hoist, adjustable changing table and Closomat toilet. The second floor has two en suite bedrooms one of which has a wheel in shower. We do not have bunk beds and all beds are ready made on your arrival. The catering standard kitchen has adjustable height hobs and sink. The dining room can seat 30 people. Visitors have use of a laundry room with commercial washing machine and dryer and drying racks. The cottage has a small dining kitchen with adjustable hob and sink, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. On the ground floor is a lounge and a wheel in toilet with Closomat toilet. A wheel chair lift accesses the first floor where there are three twin bedrooms, one with an electric profiling bed with a memory foam matress. There is a wheel-in shower room and toilet. Parking is within 10 metres.

The Beamsley Project is a registered charity that provides accessible self-catering accommodation, in the Yorkshire Dales, for people with disabilities and their carers. The Centre is in the former Methodist Chapel which has been superbly converted to receive visitors with disabilities. It is run by the Beamsley Project Charitable Trust. At the weekends there is a minimum stay of two nights. Week day bookings are for four nights. Change over days are Mondays and Fridays. We can supply details of local caterers for those who do not want to self cater. We are about a 5 minute drive from Bolton Abbey and wheelchair friendly footpaths by the River Wharfe. Skipton and Ilkley are within a 20 minute drive. Great location for fully accessible pathways at Bolton Abbey. Close to Skipton, Ilkley and Harrogate which all have a variety of activities to suit every need.

Price information:

The trustee's policy is to keep charges as low as possible so that more people can enjoy the excellent facilities that Beamsley offers. Please contact us for current pricing.

What is included/not included in the price of the break:

The charges include bed linen, towels (although you are very welcome to bring your own), electricity, washing powder and washing up liquid. In fact all you need to bring are food and drinks.
