Full service description:

Glee Club Young people attend with a full care plan and are supported in all aspect of their personal and medical care and social needs to interact and take part fully in Glee Club. Glee runs for 2 hours every Saturday. We use a drama company, whose practitioners have experience with special needs. Young people take part in games, music, movement and dance while working towards putting on a final show. Our final show is held at a local theatre with families invited to watch. The show is filmed and the young people are given a DVD to remember the experience and we hold a huge wrap party to celebrate their achievement. Wee Glee Club Wee Glee is different as it is for younger children with more complex needs and is focused on the process not the final performance. Specialist groups provide the dance and music activities for the children and the visible affect it has on the children has brought tears to those watching. Wee Glee runs on Monday evenings. The performance for Wee Glee will be tailored to the needs of the children and incorporate an Audio Visual show with pre-recorded clips from the Monday sessions to ensure all children have a starring role. Our sessional staff are trained to help young people with communication and social interaction and are also trained to use a number of communication devices for the non-verbal children who attend.
