Full service description:

The aim of Crathie Opportunity Holidays is to make it possible for everyone to find suitable accommodation, which includes specialist facilities and equipment, to enjoy a holiday in this most beautiful part of Scotland. For many years the 200-year-old stable courtyard on the banks of the River Dee overlooking Balmoral Estate lay derelict. In 2002 as a result of five years of fundraising by local volunteers these fine old granite buildings were transformed. They have been sensitively restored externally to retain many of the original features of the stables. Internally they have been designed so that there should be no barriers to occupancy by people with disabilities. An extensive range of fixtures and free-standing aids enable guests to experience their holiday with confidence. Surrounded by an extensive, fenced play area this facility really is ideal for families with disabled people. Our staff will be on hand to give you a warm welcome and offer any advice or information you may require during your stay. We have four 4 star fully wheelchair accessible holiday cottages situated in a paved courtyard. Each cottage has level ground floor access, one twin bedroom has an electric height-adjustable profiling bed and overhead hoist. The wet-floor shower room is level access and has a height-adjustable wash-hand basin, clos-o-mat toilet, and overhead hoist. Other on-site facilities include a laundry room, communal garden room with access to a computer, a riverside patio and barbecue area, and a rustic log cabin with children's toys and games. There is a children's play area with swings, a chute, and an extensive grassy garden for ball games, etc. The Manse Courtyard is surrounded by a fence.
