Brief description:

We have two six berth caravans at Southerness Holiday Park which is approximately 14 miles outside of Dumfries. The park is situated just steps away from the beach which stretches for over two miles with views overlooking the Solway Firth.

The holidays are accessed through a referring agent for example a social worker, doctor, case worker, agency (ie Red Cross, Shelter).

Type of accommodation:

There is a double bedroom and two twin rooms. There is also a fold down in the sitting room. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a dining table. Toilet and Shower. One caravan has a ramp for wheelchair access.

Full service description:

Apart from the beach and golf courses, there is a pool, entertainment complex with amusements and places to eat either on the complex or close by. The well stocked local shop has everything you need too. If you don’t feel like taking on the proper golf links nearby, you can always have a game of crazy golf. The caravans were newly purchased for 2010 and are nicely furnished. They have a spacious lounge and a dining area, with a gas fire and television. Off the long corridor there are two twin rooms and one double room, each with drawer and wardrobe space. The caravan also has a pull down couch in the sitting room if needed. There is a spacious shower room and toilet with wash hand basin, a fully fitted kitchen with all the necessary kitchen utensils and appliances, such as gas hob and oven, fridge, toaster, microwave, etc.

Price information:

The cost is £50.00 per week. This goes towards the maintenance, heat & light and cleaning of the caravans. For more information see the attached 2020 leaflet.

What is included/not included in the price of the break:

Included: Accommodation and holiday passes. Clients should bring their own food. Not included: Transport to facility, food, towels etc.

All paperwork needs to be taken to the Holiday Centre for access to keys.
