The next International Short Breaks Association conference takes place in Reykjavik, Iceland from 9-11 October 2018. For those that managed along to the last conference in Edinburgh in 2016 you’ll know these events offer a unique opportunity to connect with those who benefit from and provide short breaks provision from across the world to share knowledge. In addition, the social programme provides the perfect opportunity to network more informally and enjoy some wonderful hospitality from the host country.
Our 2018 Icelandic hosts have now announced their call for papers and are inviting individuals and organisations to send in their workshop proposals. This is your opportunity to showcase good practice, explore new ideas, share your research, or indeed anything related to the advancement of short breaks policy and practice.
The theme of the 2018 conference is Opportunities and Co-creation:
“Co-creation (co-production) is a meeting of minds coming together to jointly find and mutually share valued outcomes. With this conference we want to bring together people with personal experience of short breaks/respite, family members, carers, providers, professionals and all individuals with fresh ideas in order to find new opportunities and explore ways to co-create personalized services that benefit various groups of people. We want to discover the endless opportunities that lie in co-creation through different perspectives from all over the world and various fields.”
