I  began working with Shared Care Scotland in 2010, initially joining as a Grants Officer for the Short Breaks Fund team in early 2011. More recently, I've taken on the role of grants officer for the Creative Breaks and Time to Live funding programs. I genuinely love supporting carers and their families, ensuring they have a well-deserved break from their caring responsibilities. My passion lies in securing funding to foster creativity in this important area.

In my professional journey, I spent several years in the private sector, engaging in roles related to administration, purchasing, and procurement, however, for the past 13 years, I've found my home in the Third Sector. In the past I was a call handler with Samaritans and trained as a mentor for other call handlers during this period.

On a personal note, I live in Dunfermline with my husband and two rugrats. My interests include reading, word puzzles, traveling, music, cooking, and swimming. I'm also trained in Reiki and have a keen interest in complementary therapies. As for my guilty pleasure, I've had a long-time love for Sylvester Stallone, especially the Rocky films. Rocky 4 is my go-to when I'm stressed, upset, or unwell.

Despite thinking of myself as a bit boring, I find joy in making people laugh, and if I can achieve that daily, I consider it a success!
