Short breaks at home

Our short breaks at home section was originally set up as a response to the first Coronavirus lockdown in 2020 as a way to help carers and their families have some time-out from their caring routines while other supports may not be available.

But we know that for many carers being able to have a short break at home – a chance to have some time to themselves in a busy day – can really help their own health and wellbeing so we’ll continue to pull together a collection of ideas, resources and activities that can help everyone have a little time out without leaving home.
