Town Break Carers – Stirling
The Befriending Service provides support and companionship for people with dementia within their own home. Each volunteer befriender is trained and Disclosure checked and they are carefully matched with a client. Most befrienders visit once a week for a couple of hours. The visit provides mental stimulation and companionship and helps to maintain skills and confidence. The Befriender and their friend make a mutual choice of what activities to undertake.
The Day Club is held on a Monday and Friday from 12.30pm to 4pm in The Hub, Stirling Community Hospital, Livilands Gate, Stirling. Lunch is served and there are lots of different stimulating activities to try in a relaxed and safe supportive environment. There are also occasional trips out to local places of interest.
We also offer a rural Day Club in St. Andrews Church Hall, Leny Road, Callander from 11.30am to 3pm on a Tuesday
