Full service description:

Home Care or Sitter Service in the client's home. Caring at home for someone who is perhaps elderly, suffering from illness or living with a disability can be highly rewarding but hugely challenging. It is all too easy for the carer to become ill as a direct result of the stresses of caring - often leading to hospitalisation of the carer and the cared for person. Crossroads can help - by taking over the caring responsibilities for a short period allowing the carer to take time to themselves. Our local services are able to deliver packages of care that are focused on both the physical and social care needs of individuals and are designed to: <ul> <li>improve the quality of life;</li> <li>support people to live independently at home;</li> <li>and enable carers and service users to benefit from a regular, meaningful break.</li> </ul> Our care services are provided within the home, but wherever possible, we also aim to assist service users to spend some time away from the house and to enjoy activities within their local community.
