Full service description:

We provide care to allow parents and carers time away to access employment or training,  and for respite purposes where a child has an additional support need. Staff are carefully matched to the children and families needs, and this facilitates trusting relationships with all concerned. Childcare workers plan a range of activities in conjunction with the child and parents and strive to meet the child's outcomes. These can include arts/crafts, physical play, outdoor pursuits, games, travel, preparation of snacks, and life skills. Childcare workers can also get children up or put to bed, and prepare meals provided by parents/carers. All childcare workers have had an Enhanced Disclosure Scotland Check and as part of induction will receive Emergency Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection training, and Infection Control Training. Additional training is service user-specific and we access much training on ASD, Fragile X, Epilepsy, FASD Awareness, Therapeutic Play, Inclusive Play, managing behaviour and many more.
