The Dean club is a registered care service for people 65 years and over. Offering a safe and friendly environment for those who enjoy company, who may be becoming more frail or who can at times feel isolated and alone. We hope to get you out of the house for a day and do something different.

Full service description:

The Dean club is a registered care service for people 65 years and over. Offering a safe and friendly environment for those who enjoy company, who may be becoming more frail or who can at times feel isolated and alone. We hope to get you out of the house for a day and do something different. The club can accommodate upto 20 people each day. The club is open Tuesday to Thursday and offers oppotunities to socialise and have fun through a variety of activities each day.

Price information:

A significant proportion of the cost of the service is subsidised by a grant fron The Department of Health and Social Care. For the part that is not subsidised we would ask for a monthly contribution which is reviewed anually. Please contact the service to discuss.

What is included/not included in the price of the break:

Meals are included morning tea and coffee and toast, a two-course lunch with various options, then afternoon tea and biscuits. We also provide outings and other special activities for which we may as a small extra charge in order to cover the costs.

Any other information you think people might find helpful:

The service is open to people all over Edinburgh, however please contact the service to find out the geographical pick up areas. We use mini buses in specified geographial areas and can collect you from your home between 9am and 10am and take you back between 3pm and 4pm. If you do live outwith these areas and Dean Club places are available you can still join us by making your own travel arrangements. Please speak to the service for more information.
