The Mackinnon Centre is a purpose-built 12-bed respite unit, set in its own grounds, close to Broughty Ferry beach. The Centre is 5 minutes from a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, while sports facilities, theatres and larger shopping centres are all within easy reach in Dundee.

There are 11 single bedrooms and 1 twin. All have en suite facilities and TV. Other facilities include 2 sitting rooms, large gardens. There are 3 buses available to meet the needs of the service users.

All meals are prepared in the Centre by our kitchen staff, who can cater for special dietary needs, if required.

Full service description:

We aim to promote the spirit of independence. To offer skills development and respite services for adults with physical disabilities or progressive illnesses. Although the staff do not provide nursing care, they are highly trained and have considerable experience in providing a service individually tailored to the needs of each person who stays here. Personal choice and dignity form the basis of care plans. Activities include meals out, sight seeing, sports, social activities, theatre and cinema.
