Brief description:

These wheelchair friendly luxury lodges with full disabled access are set in quiet countryside 200 metres from the shore, 8 miles north of Oban. The lodges overlook the Hills of Morvern with magnificent sunsets in the summer. The lodges have full disabled access and have been specially designed to make holidays for wheelchair users easy and comfortable, but they are also entirely suitable for more able visitors. Open from Easter until the end of October. Dogs Welcome. WiFi available in both Lodges

Full service description:

We have two luxury lodges each with a double room with an en-suite roll-in shower and a twin room with its own bathroom. Each has a spacious sitting/dining area and an accessible verandah. The lodges are set in a secluded location near the sea but within walking distance of the village where there is a small supermarket and a restaurant. The lodges have been designed for wheelchair users and there is parking at the back door. The owners live near the lodges so are always there to provide help and advice.

Prices range from £550-£700 - please contact Port Selma Lodges for availibilty and prices. A deposit of 20% of total cost will be required on booking.

Although the lodges do not have manual hoists, they can be hired from a company called Arjo Huntleigh UK they can be contacted on 01582 745700. The hoists must be hired for a minimum of 10 days and will be delivered and picked up for no extra charge. The district is renowned for outdoor activities such as diving, sailing, hill walking, cycling, kayaking, climbing and skiing. Its magnificent scenery includes quiet sea lochs, forests with walkways and cycle tracks, secluded beaches, dramatic mountain ranges and historic castles. From Oban there are ferries (fully accessible) to the Inner and Outer Hebrides with day trips to Mull, Iona, Staffa, Lismore and Colonsay.
