Irton House Farm offers a choice of six self catering holiday cottages which sit around a central courtyard. The cottages have been carefully designed to provide easy access and comfort for all our guests including any with disability including wheelchair users. All cottages are fully accessible. A process of upgrading has begun and the Jinney Cottage and The Swallows cottage have been renovated and now offer modernised interiors with twin profiling electric beds as well as an amazing country setting and fabulous open spaces for visitors to enjoy.

Our cottages are open to private rental but many customers use income streams from the care groups or NHS for obtaining holidays away or breaks for carers.

Type of accommodation:

All of our self catering cottages have been furnished throughout to a high specification, and have been specifically designed to provide easy access for all guests including those with reduced mobility. All the cottages are easily accessible with parking immediately outside the front entrance and all benefit from customer controlled central heating which allows guests to maintain a comfortable temperature at no additional cost. There are friendly owners in residence at the adjacent farmhouse. Each of the six self catering cottages has different accessibility adaptations. Full service description:

The farm is set in 240 acres of pasture and woodland and commands possibly one of the finest views found in the Northern Lake District, sitting in an elevated position with uninterrupted views over Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and the North Lake District fells. We offer short breaks during low and mid season, and weekly breaks during high season.
