I  began working with Shared Care Scotland in 2010, initially joining as a Grants Officer for the Short Breaks Fund in early 2011. Over the years the funding programmes have allowed me to support unpaid carers and their families, ensuring they have a well-deserved break from their caring responsibilities. My passion lies in securing funding to foster creativity in this important area.

In my professional journey, I spent several years in the private sector, engaging in roles related to administration, purchasing, and procurement, however, I've found my home in the Third Sector. Via volunteering roles with FACE Cancer Charity and a call handler & mentor with Samaritans this deepened my commitment to compassionate, person centred work.

I live in Fife with my husband and 2 kids, outside of work I enjoy reading, travelling, cooking and music. I'm also trained in Reiki with an interest in complimentary therapies. When life gets a bit much, you'll find me watching Rocky films and a nod to my long term admiration of Sylvester Stallone.

Despite thinking of myself as a bit boring, I take joy in making people laugh, and if I can bring a smile to someone's face each day I consider that a win.
