Brief description:

The care home is specifically designed to cater for respite, rehabilitation and reā‚¬ablement for adults, and will be predominantly used for short stays. Support Services consists of fifteen rooms and includes two double rooms which are designed for family members. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are equipped to meet all needs. The home is modern with several communal areas including lounge, dining room, main kitchen, servery and smoking room.

Full service description:

The care home is modern with several communal areas including lounge, dining room, main kitchen, servery and smoking room. Independence of residents is encouraged, with the ability to use the servery and kitchen to aid rehabilitation and allow personal independence. Each resident has their own personal care plan, which reflects the individuals needs and choices and is progressed in line with Care Inspectorate Standards.

Price information:

Charges for residental care are subject to annual review by Shetland Islands Council and are in line with current Scottish Government Regulations. All costs are based on full financial assessment which is carried out by an approved officer at Shetland Islands Council.

What is included/not included in the price of the break:

Residents have access to three meals a day and snacks, as wanted, including lunch and dinner, prepared offsite at Taing House kitchen, Lerwick. They are provided with a choice of meals and dietary requirements are dealt with on an individual basis, including advice from the Dietician.
