Alba Highland Cottages are located in a quiet hamlet situated in the Cairngorm National Park on Speyside near Boat of Garten. We have 2 luxury cottages, both with wheelchair access, only 5 miles from Aviemore and a short distance from Loch Ness. Ptarmigan cottage comprises of 3 bedrooms: 2 twins and a king sized bed with ensuite. Osprey cottage comprises of 5 bedrooms: 1 king sized bed and 4 rooms with twins (2 of which have ensuite facilities).

While both Cairngorms cottages offer similar amenities, there are distinct features found in each: Ptarmigan cottage has 3 bedrooms: 2 twins downstairs and double upstairs with ensuite. Wetroom /disabled toilet is downstairs, main bathroom and toilet upstairs. Osprey cottage has 5 bedrooms: 3 twins downstairs one with ensuite. Upstairs a double bedroom and a twin with ensuite. Disabled wet room and toilet is downstairs and the main bathroom and toilet is located upstairs.

There is much to see and do in the local and surrounding areas. There is a local park in Boat, which is one mile away, as well as an activity centre in Carrbridge, three miles from the cottages. Also located in Boat are a steam train and a nearby golf course, approximately two miles away. Osprey viewing can be found three miles away at Loch Garten at the RSPB visitor’s centre. Winter skiing can be found at the Aviemore Mountain Resort, which is about a thirty-minute drive away, and at Lecht, which is less than an hour’s drive.
