The Moat House Annan cottage represents the ultimate in accessible self-catering holidays with 5 bedrooms sleeping up to 14 people. Our historic Georgian era Villa (c.1800) was recently converted to provide five bedrooms, two wet-room bathrooms, large reception, farmhouse style kitchen & lounge, all with outstanding levels of disability facilities & equipment. Externally is a large courtyard style garden with ramp access throughout to the beds, heather garden, sensory garden, patios and covered BBQ & dining area.

Ground floor: Bedroom 1 - two single beds (1 oversized single contouring rise & fall) with X-Y ceiling track hoist Bathroom 1 - Wetroom with Clos'o'mat toilet (50cm high) with fold down support rails, rise & fall shower/nursing bench, X-Y ceiling track hoist, low-level hand basin (80cm), level access shower area with hospital standard antiscald shower, grab rails and a choice of childs/adults shower/commode chairs Wheelchair/passenger lift between ground and first floors. First floor: Bedroom 2 - configurable beds - twin beds or super king size Bed (this room is suitable for manual wheelchair users but not powered wheelchair users) Bedroom 3 - kingsize bed with additional double sofa bed (unfortunately this room is not wheelchair accessible as it has three steps to access) Bedroom 4 - twin beds one of which is a contouring bed Bedroom 5 - double contouring bed with vibration facility & X-Y ceiling track hoist Bathroom 2 - high & low sinks (90cm & 80cm respectively), accessible toilet (41cm) with fold down armrest/support rails and level access shower area with hoist accessible bath and shower.

Full service description:

The ground floor has a spacious, welcoming reception hall, with space for parking/charging mobility scooter and separate cloakroom. The large farmhouse style kitchen/dining room has wheelchair accessible ovens/cupboards/fridge, rise & fall sink and hob and large extendable wheelchair accessible dining table. The expansive lounge has comfortable sofas, bean-bags & two rise-and-recline armchairs and is equipped with a large screen Smart TV, DVD, Hi-Fi. Karaoke and piano. To the rear of the house itself there is a large, tranquil, wheelchair friendly courtyard style garden with patios, "Sensory Garden", covered BBQ & dining area and hanging "Leaf" chair. The Moat House Annan is situated on the moat bank of an ancient Mott & Bailey castle on the edge of the Royal Burgh of Annan and has excellent access to both town and countryside.
