Brief description:

Age Concern Eastwood Dementia Project was established in 1993 to provide specialist care for people with dementia and their carers. We provide Day Care 5 days a week and a fully comprehensive programme of carers services. We offer two dementia day-care facilities for a total of 26 people per day. People come to get pleasure from purposeful activities in the company of their peers, with stimulation in a non-threatening environment where all physical and emotional needs will be discreetly monitored and addressed. There is also assistance with personal care.

Full service description:

Age Concern Eastwood Dementia Centre was established in 1993 and has enjoyed the support and encouragement of East Renfrewshire Council to develop into a 26 place day care centre. The Board of management comprises 6 voluntary Directors from the community who are, or have been carers themselves. Over the years carers have brought their own experiences to the board and can truly appreciate the demands in caring for a loved one with dementia. It is this knowledge that has ensured the quality of services provided by the centre is of the highest standard. Age Concern Eastwood Dementia Centre provide dementia day care and carers services to people of East Renfrewshire.

What is included/not included in the price of the break:

Breakfast, three course lunch, tea, coffee and juice/water provided throughout the day.
