Our aim is to support children and young people with an additional support need in North Lanarkshire between the ages of 5-18 years, to access mainstream clubs/organisation’s in their local area.

Full service description:

The main services we provide are: INITIAL INCLUSION SUPPORT (IIS) A service offering short term Initial Inclusion Support to clubs and organisation’s, where such support is required to enable a child/young person with a disability to attend the club or activity on a regular basis. Families can contact us directly for this support which is free of charge and most suited to school age children up to 18 years old. SPECIAL INTEREST SHORT BREAKS Special Interest Short Breaks are suited to the child and young person’s interests and the family’s needs on an individual basis. A menu of activities for children and young people is on offer, ranging from full day and overnight stays of up to 2 nights. Recreation activities are tailored to the child’s interests. Suitable for school age to 18 year olds. SELF DIRECTED SUPPORT WORK (SDS) These services are for families who have S.D.S. funds to help support their young person’s care needs. We provide a bespoke service to the families who contact us. We can arrange group or individual activities, overnight stays on a ‘one off’ or regular basis, support to access community or family activities. Just ask and we shall price the service for you. SPECIALISED SITTER SERVICE (SDS) The Sitter Service provides childcare for disabled children and young people (aged 0-18 years) in their own home or community, so that parents and carers are able to access their own leisure or social activities, education, employment or simply have a rest. There is an hourly charge for this service, please contact us for up to date prices. Please note!- Home visit, safety checks and introduction to Support Staff are required prior to service commencement and can take up to 2 weeks preparation time.
