How do people access your service:

Anyone who has been diagnosed as having a learning difficulty, is over 16, and has left school can refer themselves or can be referred by friends, family, carers or an official body eg social worker or community nurse. After initially contacting Respite Fife, a referral form will be completed by us and an assessment carried out by social work to determine the level of respite required. Once a referral has been accepted, an initial visit to the property will be arranged for the service user and carer. A lunch/tea visit can then be arranged. Once the service user feels comfortable with our service, overnight stays will be offered and regular dates will be discussed with the service user and carer.
