Scout Adventures Scotland operates three national centres, each offering distinctive environments, facilities, and activity opportunities. Together, they provide a flexible and diverse network of locations capable of hosting respite activity days, short breaks, and longer residential experiences.

Fordell Firs – Fife
Fordell Firs is a well-established activity centre located near Dunfermline, offering excellent accessibility for people across the Central Belt. The site features a wide range of outdoor activities, including climbing, zipline, and high ropes, all within a contained and easily navigable environment. Accommodation options include indoor accommodation a small cabin village, and camping areas, allowing for flexible programme design. Its proximity to major transport routes makes it particularly suitable for day visits and shorter respite stays.

Lochgoilhead – Argyll
Lochgoilhead boasts a stunning loch side setting and offers an extensive range of land and water based activities, including kayaking, climbing, and mountain biking. The centre has indoor accommodation, catering and classroom spaces, enabling longer stays and larger group programmes. Its professional activity staff and robust infrastructure make it ideal for more adventurous respite experiences.

Meggernie – Perthshire
Set in the heart of Glen Lyon, Meggernie provides a peaceful, rural retreat ideal for those seeking a quieter, low stimulus environment. Surrounded by natural beauty, the centre offers opportunities for gentle outdoor exploration, bushcraft, walking, and sensory friendly nature based activities. The accommodation is a mix of indoor and camping, creating a homely setting that supports young people who benefit from calm, structured surroundings. Meggernie’s tranquil atmosphere makes it especially well suited to small group or family focused respite experiences.
