Full service description:

Shared Lives Fife has carers who provide support for a few hours a week; a short break in the carers home or living with a carer sharing their home. We aim to match families or individuals who are willing to share their homes, lives, interests, experience and skills with adults and older adults who need support to live their lives to the full. Shared Lives Fife is based on building relationships, as even a few hours a week can make a huge difference to someone’s life. It is very personalised and can give the individual more choice in their lives. Shared Lives Fife provides: Support for Short Breaks (either regular or one off breaks) to enable the main carer to have a break and giving the person with support needs a new experience within a family setting. Long Term support which offers a place living with a family for as long as this meets their needs, and the carer is able to provide the support. Day opportunities where someone is supported to access their local community, or work on their independent living skills.
