Brief description:

The Open Door’s social clubs and support services for older people bring care, companionship, wellbeing and love to over 70 frail and lonely elderly people every week. Our Thursday Club provides exercise, mental stimuli, social interaction and a hot lunch. 10.30 am to 2.30pm. Transport provided. The Saturday Break is a registered day care service for people with a diagnosis of dementia. A cooked lunch is also provided. Saturday 10am to 3pm.

If people using our lunch club service require a special diet this can be arranged. There is no provision for foreign languages.

Our Thursday Club provides exercise, mental stimuli, social interaction and a hot lunch. 10.30am to 2.30pm. Transport provided. Saturday Break offers respite for carers and a safe, stimulating, friendly environment for those with memory loss. A cooked lunch is also provided. Saturday 10am to 3pm. No transport provided. We have a chair lift to access the group on the lower floor.
