Awarded funding in 2015 to provide individual grants to carers of adults living in Argyll & Bute to plan and pay for a short break of their choice.

Dumfries and Galloway
Parents Inclusion Network - £8,606
Funding Period: 2015
Awarded funding in 2015 to provide a programme of activities for carers and children and young people with multiple additional support needs from across Dumfries and Galloway. They will run 19 family fun days across the area which will offer a range of social and recreational activities. The programme is imaginative and engaging after feedback from carers. It offers activities which carers would be unlikely to participate in independently such as pony riding and sailing.
Dumfries & Galloway Carers Centre - £16,454
Awarded funding in 2015 to provide individual grants to carers of adults with a disability and live in Dumfries & Galloway, to plan and fund a short break.

Dundee City
Cornerstone - £36,739
Funding Period: 2015
Awarded funding in 2015 to provide activity clubs for children and young people up to aged 20 with multiple support needs living in Dundee. They aim to provide a youth club for young people aged 14-18 which focuses on transition to adulthood with relevant skills. The activity other clubs are after school and on Saturdays. Clubs last for 2 or 3 hours each session. The children and young people determine the content of each session. The school holiday clubs are during the day and include outings to local places, with parents and siblings invited to attend if they wish.
Dundee Carers Centre - £14,511

Awarded funding in 2015 to provide individual grants of up to £200 to carers living in Dundee so they can plan and fund a short break. The grants are available to carers who look after an adult with a disability.

Carers of East Lothian - £9,950

Awarded funding in 2015 to provide grants of up to £300 directly to carers of adults living in East Lothian, to plan and pay for a short break of their choice.

East Renfrewshire
East Renfrewshire Warriors - £36,645
Funding Period: 2015
Awarded funding in 2015 to continue Glee Club, the club consists of a two and a half hourly music and drama workshop session every Saturday morning throughout the year for teenagers with additional multiple support needs. The Glee Club will also provide typical youth club activities following the creative workshop each week. They also plan to hold a Wee Glee Club for primary age children with complex support needs and attend Isobel Mair School.

East Renfrewshire Carers Centre - £9,905

Awarded funding in 2015 to provide individual grants directly to carers of adults living in East Renfrewshire to plan and pay for a short break of their choice.

Edinburgh City
VOCAL Carers Centre - £36,000
Funding Period: 2015
Awarded funding in 2015 to continue to provide Edinburgh Better Breaks in Partnership with Lothian Autistic Society providing regular planned short breaks for young people living in Edinburgh with multiple support needs. The breaks will offer flexible opportunities for the young people to take part in leisure activities within the community supported by a befriender.
Lothian Autistic Society - £16,325

Awarded funding in 2015 to provide group sessions designed to increase confidence, social and communication skills prior to choosing a supported mainstream activity for 20 young people with Autism living in East Lothian & Midlothian. There is also the opportunity to participate in a monthly social club.
