Short Breaks Landscape Review
Healthcare Improvement Scotland has published its short breaks landscape review. The report establishes the current state of short break planning and commissioning in Scotland and identifies the next steps to be taken in improving the planning and delivery of short breaks.
The report also provides an overview of the upcoming Right to a Break, part of the National Care Service Bill, introduced to the Scottish Parliament on 20 June 2022. This Bill will enshrine the right to a break for unpaid carers in law and remove eligibility criteria for breaks from unpaid caring.
